Join Plumbers Local Union #8 with little or no experience. Applicants who are accepted will enter into a five year apprenticeship program registered with the Department of Labor. United Association apprentices will learn both through classroom instruction and on the job training. They will work during the day and attend classes a minimum of two nights a week, four hours a night. This is a highly rewarding, well paying career and when you complete your five years, you will be an active member of a proud and noble trade union.
The applicant must be 18 years of age prior to the month they apply (Copy of Birth Certificate is required)
The applicant must be a High School Graduate or have passed a High School Equivalent Test (GED)
Copy of High School Diploma OR copy of GED certificate with scores required
High School Transcripts required
Each conditionally accepted applicant will be required to take a urinalysis test for drugs. Any applicant who has a positive urinalysis test or who refuses to take such a test, will not be admitted. The urinalysis test is provided at no cost to the applicant.
